Gold Ground Cherry Filled Shortcakes

« Ingredients »
250 ml
30-45 ml
60 ml
190 ml

Gold ground cherries
Sugar
Grand ier or Cointreau
Whipped cream
Pinch of sugar
Individual white Savoy cakes

« Preparation »
  1. Cut cach ground cherry in half. Put them in a bowl with the sugar and the liqueur and let soak for several hours.
  2. Just before serving, whip the cream with the poinch of sugar and divide it equally among the small cakes.
  3. Drain the ground cherries, keeping the liquid to flavor the coffee.
  4. Place the ground cherries on the whipped cream and serve.
