Ground Cherries in syrup

« Ingredients »
1 pint
3 cups
6 cups
1 pinch
golden ground cherries
sugar
water
salt
juice of 1 lemon

« Preparation »
  1. Wash and dry the golden ground cherries.
  2. Bring the rest of the ingredient to a boil and cook for 5 mins.
  3. Let it become lukewarm and add the ground cherries.
  4. Cook slowly until the fruit is clear and the syryup is thick.
  5. Remove the ground cherries from their syrup and place them in sterelized jars.
  6. Cover the hot syrup. Seal and preserve it in a cool dry place.
